2026 AIA Northern Virginia Design Award recipient. This stunning one level Luria model, reimagined by Cook Architecture, was completely remodeled (back to to studs) in 2024 and is a rare find. Every detail of this home has been thought through and beautifully executed. No expense has been spared, from the huge windows bathing every room in natural light, to the Douglas Fir cathedral beamed ceilings that span the entire home and the wide plank oak floors throughout. In the heart of this home is a spectacular Poggenpohl kitchen with high end appliances and handmade Heath Ceramic tiles. The open plan public space is the perfect place to entertain. The kitchen flows into the dining / living area with its cozy wood burning fireplace. Two bedrooms have Elfa closets to keep everything organized and gorgeous en-suites with beautiful custom ash wood vanities, underfloor heating and Dutch Mosa tiles. The 3rd bedroom can function as a full-time bedroom, or it can be opened up and used to extend the living area, it is a truly unique space. There is also a den/ office with a built-in desk and more of those amazing floor to ceiling windows. A new skylight with a remote controlled blind was installed in the living room in 2025. Every corner of this house oozes style, and the attention to detail and passion that was put into the remodel is self-evident. The exterior of the building is clad with Shou Sugi Ban Japanese cypress siding, and during the sellers' tenure the yard has undergone a wonderful transformation. It now has multiple different spaces and the new fence provides great privacy. The deck off the kitchen is the perfect dining area, the back patio is like an outside living room and there's still plenty of space to test out your green thumb and for kids / pets to play on the lawn. The property is situated on a cul-de-sac in the wonderful Holmes Run Acres. There's no HOA, instead we have a very active civic association which hosts multiple neighborhood events throughout the year including Octoberfest, St Patrick's day gathering (new this year), Halloween parade and chili cook off and Santa visits every year. The community also has its own park at the end of Holmes Run Dr., and plenty of walking trails. The location of this home could not be more convenient for commuters. With easy access to I-495 and the Express Lanes you can be anywhere you need to go in the metro area, quickly and efficiently (I-66 is one exit away on 495 North, Dulles International and National airports in approximately 30 minutes). Commute by metro from Dunn Loring station approximately two miles away (and the bus stop is at the community entrance on Gallows Rd). For those inclined, you can even cycle into DC via the Curtis Trail (many Acres residents do!) Local amenities include Fairview Park, Tysons Corner, Providence Recreation Center, multiple trails and parks, and the wonderful Mosaic District (Angelika film center, Mom & Pop coffee shop, Caboose Brewing Company, Target, Moms Organic Grocery, Strawberry Park, and many other great shops and restaurants). The community Holmes Run Pool on Gallows Road is in a beautiful setting, surrounded by huge trees, with two adult pools and a tots pool, plus decks for parties, a grilling area, and a tot lot. This house and community are truly wonderful. Do not miss out on this amazing house, come and take a look for yourself!

SELLER IS OFFERING A 15K CREDIT-Some houses you tour. This is one you fall for. A true Holmes Run Acres mid-century modern, it sits in one of Virginia's first planned communities and a designated historic district, with the register plaque on the house to prove it. Inside, Douglas fir ceilings soar above while walls of glass pull light and woodland views into every corner. The living and dining spaces feel open, bright, and connected, anchored by a white-painted brick fireplace and the warm original wood closet that defines the homes in this neighborhood. A skylit flex room makes an effortless office, studio, or creative retreat. A floating open-tread staircase leads to a second living space below — a den, media room, or playroom, however you live. Held for more than a decade by only its second owners, the home has been thoughtfully stewarded: its character preserved, its comforts quietly updated. The primary suite is a retreat, a spa-like bath finished in marble and brass, a custom closet and a private pea-gravel patio inspired by the owners' travels through the Mediterranean. Behind the scenes, the essentials are handled: newer windows, updated systems, refreshed baths, and heated floors in the primary, all part of a 2020 renovation by Wiedemann Architects and GN Contracting. Off the dining room, a two-level deck rests beneath a grand old tree, a private perch that feels worlds away. The gardens are their own quiet love story: beds of evergreens and perennials embrace the house. A fig tree and a persimmon tree come into season each year, and a raised bed sits ready for the next owner's tomatoes and herbs. The part you can't renovate is the neighborhood. Holmes Run Acres gathers around Luria Park at its center, where neighbors know one another and community still means something. Walk to the elementary school and community pool, and reach the restaurants, movies, and weekend energy of the Mosaic District in minutes. This community was designed to bring the outside in and people together. It still does. Homes like this don't come along often. Neighborhoods like this, even less so. This one is ready for its next chapter!
